Due to increasing growth of the company - organically as well as through recent acquisitions – on behalf of our client we are currently recruiting for a Medior Business Advisor.

The mission of this position is to support business decisions for the European region by profound financial reporting and analysis. This role is critical in supporting (regional) management on the overall strategy, annual operating plans, forecasting process and analysing & reporting financial performance.

Tasks & responsibilities:
• preparing standard financial management reporting for the Europe region, such as fully allocated P & L statements, industry level reports, etc, including the reconciliation of management to statutory financial reports
• researching and explaining key performance variances indicated in the Management Financial reporting, including analysing variances versus both budget and prior year
• assisting the commercial associates in preparing information and analysis used to manage their respective areas and prepare adjunct financial reporting for the region for assisting in business decisions
• contributing to the preparation of financial related presentations for the Regional Managing Director and together with the Senior will be responsible for the budget and forecast processes
• delivering financial support of various projects as assigned, to potentially include areas such as: capital appropriations analysis, support of acquisitions analysis and/ or integration, support of supply chain analysis, etc.

In this position you will work closely together with the Senior Business Advisor as well as the regional sales teams, operations, R&D and finance.

Functie eisen Medior Business Advisor

The ideal candidate:
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluent in English
• Obtained a minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably in a ‘Big4’ audit firm or as a controller in an international production environment
• Is a team player with a ‘can do’ mentality
• Is a self-starter and ambitious
• Has the ability to initiate and follow through process and procedure improvements
• Has affinity and good knowledge of Dutch GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
• Has strong accounting and analytical skills
• Completed a study at minimal bachelor level, including Finance/Accounting/Business Economics certificates
• Has working experience in an international environment
• Is prepared to develop further through internal and/or external education
• Has excellent Excel skills
